OneBlood UK - equid donations

For the veterinary surgeons who collect equid whole blood for us.

Who can use these. Each form asks for your e-mail address and sends you a single-use code. Only addresses registered by OneBlood UK can open them. If one will not let you in, contact us and we will check your registration.

How this page works

  1. Before the donationBook the processing service and record the collection kit you were sent. Both before the animal is bled, not after.
  2. Open each form and verify your e-mailThe form asks for your e-mail and sends a six-digit code. Only veterinary surgeons OneBlood UK has registered for the equid programme can open these.
  3. At the donationThe donation record carries the suitability certificate. It is the document that lets the unit be processed and released - without it the unit cannot be used.
  4. If anything departed from the protocolUse the Deviation form, and the Post-Donation Reaction form if the horse reacted. A unit with a declared deviation can often still be used; an undeclared one cannot.

If a form will not let you in, it means the e-mail address is not on our list, or you typed a different one. Contact OneBlood UK and we will check it - do not keep asking for codes.
